What is a home safety audit?

A visit by a trained Aamra team member who goes through your parent’s home with care and tells you, in a written report within 24 hours, what could put them at risk of a fall and what we suggest. Each suggestion comes with its cost, and you choose what to do.

Can falls really be prevented?

Many can. A Cochrane review reported by the World Health Organization found that assessing and changing the home lowered falls by about 38% among older people at higher risk of falling. Balance and strength exercise lowers falls by about 23%. A safer home and regular exercise work best together.

Where do most falls happen?

At home. In a US study of older people treated in emergency rooms for a fall, 79.2% had fallen at home. Of the falls at home where the place was recorded, 70.6% happened in just three places: the bedroom (25.0%), the stairs (22.9%) and the bathroom (22.7%).

How long does the visit take?

About two hours. We look at the home your parent actually lives in, together with your parent.

What do you look at?

Every part of the home your parent uses, and how ready it is if something goes wrong. The method behind our audit was developed by our medical director and is our own. What you receive is a clear report in plain words, not a list of tests.

How much does it cost?

The audit is normally ₹2,500 including GST. Until 15 November 2026 the early bird offer is ₹499 including GST, and then it goes up to ₹999. Visits start on 17 November 2026. Aamra members always get a bigger discount: ₹299 instead of ₹499. We confirm the fee when we call you, before you pay anything. Anything we suggest in the report is priced item by item, and you pay only for what you choose.

Do I have to do everything you suggest?

No. You choose, one item at a time, and see the total as you do. Nothing is done without your agreement.

Who does the work?

Aamra’s own trained team, in a single visit. After the work is finished you get six months of free cover.

Is this a medical check?

No. It is a safety audit of the home and does not replace a doctor. If your parent has just fallen, see a doctor first, then book the visit once they are stable.

Which areas do you cover?

We currently cover certain areas of Gurgaon and Delhi NCR. Call us on +91 92116 50555 or fill in the form and our team manager will confirm whether your parent’s home is in our service area.

Do I need to be an Aamra member?

No. The home safety audit is open to everyone. If you are an Aamra member, you get a bigger discount: ₹299 instead of ₹499.

I live in another city or abroad. Can I book for my parent?

Yes. You can book and decide online, and the report is shared with you. Our team will call you first to confirm the details and the area.

What if my parent has dementia?

Tell us when you book. Homes of people living with dementia need particular care, and we will make sure it is included.

What happens to the information you collect?

We ask for your consent for each purpose, separately, before we record anything about your parent or their home. Photos never include faces or people. You can withdraw your consent at any time and we erase what that consent covered. Invoices are kept, as tax law requires. Questions or complaints: info@aamra.life or +91 92116 50555.
